Castelsardo is located in a strategically important position in the center of the Gulf of Asinara; it offers scenarios and pathways very interesting from the environmental and archaeological-historical-cultural point of view. Over the last decade has been imposing as a great importance tourist destination, thanks to its new marina, which with its 650 berths, places it among the best equipped and important port of northern Sardinia.
The rock of “Elefante” is just 3km from the Rosa dei Venti. This is a trachytic rock that looks like a pachyderm with the trunk facing the road (hence the name); in the cliff has been excavated a "Domus de Janas". In the interior you can admire stylized taurus elements symbol of a god revered for his strength, power and courage. The rock of “Elefante” is one of the most spectacular manifestations of the phenomenon of trachyte and limestone erosion of Anglona, often used by prehistoric civilizations to build the funeral apogee to "Domus de Janas".
ABBEY OF TERGU: At 4 Km from the hotel, is one of the finest examples of Romanesque architecture in Sardinia, built using red trachyte and light stone for the decorations.
BASILICA OF SACCARGIA: is one of the Pisa-Romanesque churches most famous of Sardinia, built during the XII century, is about 40 Km from the hotel.
